Abstract

Cerebellar brain abscesses most often develop secondary to the contiguous spread of infection from an ipsilateral otogenic site. Less commonly, cerebellar abscesses have been associated with a hematogenous source.1 We report a cerebellar brain abscess temporally associated with a tongue piercing procedure that was complicated by an apparent postprocedure infection managed successfully and with the review of the relevant literature.
