Omphalocele containing bowel, liver and pancreas

Abstract

Omphalocele is a midline defect of the anterior abdominal wall, characterised by herniation ofabdominal viscera into the base of umbilical cord. The incidence is 1 in 4000 to 1 in 5000 livebirths. (1). We present a 31 year old female , primigravida, who reported to the hospital at 22weeks of gestation diagnosed as ? omphalocele ? gastrochisis and admitted for termination of pregnancy.
